The Meditative Version

Galatians 1:11, 12

[If I, Paul, were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.]

For I would have you know that the gospel is not man’s gospel.

      You are brothers.

The gospel is the one that was preached by me.

Why is it not man’s gospel?

Because I did not receive this gospel from any man.

Because I was not taught this gospel.

Because I received this gospel through a revelation.

This revelation was of Jesus Christ.

[Why do I pronounce a curse on anyone who preaches another gospel?]

Am I, Paul now seeking the approval of man?

Or, am I, Paul, now seeking the approval of God?

Or am I, Paul, trying to please man?

If I, Paul, were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

[Some people want to distort the gospel.]

But,

If Paul should preach to the churches a gospel contrary to the one Paul and the brothers preached to the churches,

      let Paul be accursed.

If the brothers who are with Paul should preach to the churches a gospel contrary to the one Paul and the brothers preached to the churches,

      let the brothers be accursed.

If an angel from heaven should preach to the churches a gospel contrary to the one Paul and the brothers preached to the churches,

let the angel from heaven be accursed.

Paul and the brothers have said this before.

Paul and the brothers say this again:

If anyone is preaching to the churches a gospel contrary to the one the churches received,

      let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:6-7

Paul is astonished.

The astonishment is because the churches are so quickly deserting God.

            God called the churches.

                  The calling was in grace.

                        The grace is of Christ.

The astonishment is because the churches are turning to a different gospel.

There is not really another gospel.

However, some people want to trouble the churches.

Some people want to distort the gospel.

            The gospel is of Christ.

Grace to the churches.

      Grace is from God.

            God is our Father.

Grace is from the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ gave himself.

The giving was for our sins.

The giving was to deliver us.

The deliverance is from the present age.

                              The present age is evil.

The giving is according to the will of our God.

                        God is our Father.

To God be the glory forever and ever, Amen.

Peace to the churches.

      Peace is from God.

            God is our Father.

Peace is from the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ gave himself.

The giving was for our sins.

The giving was to deliver us.

The deliverance is from the present age.

                              The present age is evil.

The giving is according to the will of our God.

                        God is our Father.

To God be the glory forever and ever, Amen.

To the churches of Galatia.

This is from Paul

      Paul is an apostle.

The apostleship is not from men.

The apostleship is not through man.

The apostleship is through Jesus Christ.

The apostleship is through God the Father.

God the Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

Some brothers are with Paul.

This is from those brothers.

Peace be to the brothers.

Peace is from God the Father.

Peace is from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Love be to the brothers.

            Love is with faith.

Love is from God the Father.

Love is from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some love our Lord Jesus Christ.

            Their love is incorruptible.

Grace be with all of them.

Tychicus is the beloved brother.

Tychicus is the faithful minister.

Tychicus’ ministry is in the Lord.

Tychicus will tell you everything.

Tychicus will tell you so that you may know how I am.

Tychicus will tell you so that you may know what I am doing.

I have sent Tychicus to you with a purpose.

I have sent Tychicus to you so that you may know how we are.

I have sent Tychicus to you so that he may encourage your hearts.

[In order to stand…]

Keep alert.

Your alertness is with all perseverance.

Your alertness is making supplication for all the saints.

Your alertness is making supplication for me.

Your supplication for me is so that words may be given to me.

These words are to proclaim the mystery.

The mystery is of the gospel.

I am an ambassador in chains for the gospel.

Your supplication for me is so that I may open my mouth boldly.

This boldness is to proclaim the mystery.

The mystery is of the gospel.

I am an ambassador in chains for the gospel.

Your supplication is that I may declare the mystery boldly.

I should speak with boldness.

Therefore,

Stand.

Stand, having fastened on the belt.

                        The belt is of truth.

Stand, having put on the breastplate.

                        The breastplate is of righteousness.

Stand, having put on shoes for your feet.

                        The shoes are of readiness.

The readiness is given by the gospel of peace.

In all circumstances,

Take up the shield.

                        The shield is of faith.

With faith you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.

In all circumstances,

Take the helmet.

            The helmet is of salvation.

In all circumstances,

            Take the sword,

The sword is of the Spirit.

The sword is the word of God.

In all circumstances,

Praying.

                        Pray at all times.

                        Pray in the Spirit.

                        Pray with all prayer.

                        Pray with supplication.
